Health Benefits of Regular Cycling

At Hike and Bike, we are of course huge advocates of the physical and mental benefits of cycling, hiking and other outdoor activities. We were recently contacted by the teams at Homeschooling Adventures and Student Hang Out who have been teaching students who are studying from home about the importance of physical fitness. They are looking particularly at information about improving their immune systems and building cardiovascular capacity. Megan, one of their keen students found this article and thought it explained the health benefits of cycling really well.

Simple fresh air and exercise have been promoted for years as an antidote to the stresses and strains of everyday life and we couldn’t agree more with this ethos. So whether its biking along a designated cycling route, walking through unspoiled countryside or taking a dip in a swimming pool in the sunshine, outdoor activities are some of the best ways to re-charge our batteries and improve our health to deal with the rigours of today’s hectic lives.
