When 'renting-a-bike' you will have to:
Be responsible for the bike, at all times, until it is returned to Hike + Bike.
If you rent a bike we expect you will:
1. Show a valid ID (passport or drivers licence) and sign a rental contract.
2. Pay a bond when renting a bike (always 50 euros at pick up).
3. Make sure you have travel insurance and check the policy before you leave (if it covers theft or damage of a rental bike).
4. Lock your bike to any pole/fence or something secure.
5. Return a clean and undamaged bike.
6. Use the rental bike for what it has been designed for.
7. Use a bike helmet (an obligation in Spain and we will supply the helmet for "free").
8. Be friendly to other road users and give way to pedestrians on zebra crossings.
We recommend that you take out travel insurance when you plan to rent a bike with us in the event that you have to cancel or in case you rental bike becomes damaged or lost (theft). Not all insurance policies include this option, therefore it's best to ask and to pay that little extra for insurance cover.
