Andalucian Mountain Bike Holidays - Explore Ronda's Hidden Trails

Guided or Self-Guided Mountain Bike Holidays in Andalucia, Spain

JoIn us on a guided or self-guided mountain bike holiday in Ronda, Andalucia. Our British Cycling qualified guides have unrivalled knowledge of the local area which offers some of the best cross-country mountain biking in Spain. If you prefer to self-guide, we will provide a good choice of routes and all the information and easy-to-use equipment that you need to explore the area on your own.

Ronda is the perfect place for centre-based mountain bike holidays and offers remote mtb routes and great riding conditions, with over 300 days of sunshine a year. There is an extensive local network of unmarked dirt tracks, natural cross country trails and singletrack pathways which cross the unspoiled countryside. We ride up mountains and hills, through river valleys and forests and visit traditional white mountain villages.

Ronda itself is an interesting and historic town, filled with culture, Moorish and Spanish architecture and lots of great tapas bars and restaurants. It is dramatically set on top of a 120-metre-high gorge, with the two sides of the town connected by an impressive, multi-arched, 18th-century bridge. The town is located between two large areas of protected Natural Park and is surrounded by beautiful mountainous scenery.

In summary, this is a region that is absolutely crying out to be explored on a mountain bike! Join other riders or we can create a bespoke holiday to suit your riding ability and preferences.

Riding Level

Intermediate to Challenging :

Routes are selected according to rider levels of experience, skill and fitness.

Intermediate level mountain biking will require a reasonable amount of fitness on the bikes, along with competency in bike handling skills. This region is mountainous so every day includes some level of ascent and descent. We ride on all-natural trails, a mix of single- and double-track, unsurfaced roads and some short linking sections using minor roads. It is not highly technical, with jumps or drop-offs, but the natural terrain means that you should be happy tackling all sorts of different surfaces, including some sections of loose, rocky or weather-eroded track.

Daily Distance :

35 - 55km per day, adjusted to suit rider fitness levels. N.B. eMTBs available for a supplement.

Guided holidays include vehicle support throughout. On self-guided holidays, pick-ups are available on some routes

Availability *** All year round. Choose the dates which suit you. Start on any day of the week.

Based on 2 people sharing a double or twin room. Solo traveller and single occupancy prices available upon request.

** Shorter or longer holidays can be arranged - contact us for bespoke planning and pricing.

*** Check out the local annual weather conditions here. N.B. Supplements may apply during Easter week due to inflated accommodation prices.
