Ideal for anyone wanting to be out on a bike and experience the variety of villages and landscapes on Ronda's doorstep. Read more.....After a minibus transfer from Ronda, we set up the bikes and descend from the hilltop town of Olvera into the valley below and through the tiny village of Torre Alhaquime. From here we climb up into olive groves and pistachio tree fields giving a great view back to Olvera and to the mountains of Grazalema Natural Park. We ride down into Alcala del Valle and continue down to Setenil de las Bodegas, a village hidden in a deep limestone valley with bars, cafes and houses built into the overhanging rocks and cliffs. The second ascent of the day brings us up to the same level as Ronda and we finish riding relatively easy trails all the way back into Ronda, passing vineyards and olive groves. |
