Montejaque to Ronda Guided Walking Tour Description
Nestled in a niche among rocky mountain peaks, on the edge of the Sierra de Grazalema, you'll find the white village of Montejaque. The route takes us through the village, to experience its charming Andalusian atmosphere and learn a little about its history and culture. We then follow the original pathways that the villagers used to cross the mountains to Ronda. The pass over the mountain provides breathtaking views of Ronda. As we near Ronda, we enter the valley below the cliffs, offering spectacular views of the Puente Nuevo bridge. From the old cobbled road up to the town, we climb up steps on the edge of the gorge and into the historic old town. Note: Most of this route is on wide tracks, quiet lanes, and easy walking surfaces. The descent from the Montejaque plateau is steeper and loose in places. The final climb up into Ronda is steep, with quite a long series of steps up the gorge and into the old town. Meeting Point: RONDA TRAIN STATION 4-7 pax: €55 p.p. 2-3 pax: €70 p.p.
