From a viewpoint on the edge of the village, we head through the narrow streets, where bull runs still take place annually on the Festival day of the Virgen del Carmen. We walk across the main plaza, from where many spectators watch the bulls, and up past the village swimming pool for views down onto the village. We turn off the main road onto a tiny pathway that leads up into the hills and to an abandoned church, overlooking the village. Continuing on, we find the remains of old village houses and long-abandoned gathering places. Then we drop back to the village and cross over the road to walk up to a large reservoir. Walking around its perimeter we enjoy fabulous vistas, before descending back into the village.
