Andalucian Cycling Holidays - The Best Cycling from Ronda in Spain
Guided or Self-Guided Cycling Holidays in Andalucia, Spain
Enjoy a guided or self-guided cycling holiday in Ronda, Andalucia. Peaceful mountain roads and quiet country lanes twist through unspoiled rural countryside, passing through traditional white villages and stunning mountain scenery.
The area around Ronda offers plenty for the moderate level cyclist who is looking for gently-paced leisure cycling or also for riders who are capable of the most challenging mountain climbs. Road cycling in this region is a joy, with quiet, smooth roads, minimal traffic, considerate drivers and over 300 days of sunshine a year.
Our cycling holidays in Ronda can be enjoyed on hybrid bikes, e-bikes or road bikes. Our hybrid bikes have excellent gearing to help with the ascents and hydraulic disc brakes for secure braking on the descents. They also allow riders to cycle along some of the easier tracks for an alternative scenic experience. E-bikes are great for riders who feel that they would like a little more help on the hill climbs. Road cycling enthusiasts can cover long distances on carbon-framed road bikes.
Our guides are British Cycling or IMBA qualified. If you prefer to self-guide, we will provide a varied choice of routes and the information and easy-to-use equipment that you need to explore the area for yourself. Join other riders or we can create a bespoke holiday to suit your riding ability and preferences.
"You don't have to be Bradley Wiggins to fully enjoy [Hike + Bike] holidays. Anyone with a moderate level of fitness and an enjoyment of cycling will really appreciate seeing the breathtaking scenery from the leisurely pace of a bike." Jane & Bob, UK, September 2015

Riding Level |
Intermediate to Challenging : Routes are selected according to rider levels of experience and fitness. Our most popular centre-based cycling holidays are at an intermediate level and are suitable for leisure or regular cyclists with a good level of general fitness. This region is mountainous so the quiet, country roads which wind between traditional white villages provide the most beautiful views and also some of the more challenging cycling climbs - therefore please note that every day of riding will include some level of ascent and descent. This type of week is ideal for cyclists who enjoy cycling in areas of outstanding natural beauty and who relish the challenge of occasional good climbs. N.B. there is very limited easy cycling in this mountainous area so we do not recommend it for cyclists looking for very easy touring. Daily Distance : 25 - 50km per day, adjusted to suit rider fitness levels. N.B. e-bikes or road bikes available for a supplement. Guided holidays include vehicle support throughout. On self-guided holidays, pick-ups are included on some routes |
