DESCRIPTION
This route explores the heart of the Genal Valley, a mountainous region of remote villages and chestnut plantations as far as the eye can see. The trees provide an ever-changing landscape through the year, from bare branches in the winter to lush green foliage through the summer and then the rich russets of autumn. It is a stunning region to explore by bike. Read more....We drive from Ronda to the start point high above the Genal Valley. We head straight out into the valley with a fun opening descent. We then take a steady climb before dropping to the Rio Seco. The "ups and downs" continue, through the forest and onto Igualeja village. Another long climb with some testing sections takes us to the start of a nice long descent into the next valley. We carry on up and pass through several villages to get to the blue village of Juzcar. We climb up through craggy limestone mountains, enjoying superb views throughout, before a long descent down to Ronda.
This eMTB route is adaptable for riders who would like to do less distance. |
