Cycling and Walking Holidays in Andalucia
Mountain bike holidays in Ronda, Andalucia, southern Spain. British Cycling qualified mountain bike guides with expert local knowledge show you the area's remote mountain bike trails. We arrange mountain bike holidays for all levels of mountain biker, using the area's extensive network of dirt tracks, natural cross country trails and singletrack. Join other riders or we can create a bespoke holiday to suit your riding ability, preferences and dates.
Ronda is the perfect location for a centre-based mtb holiday. This historical town is located in a stunningly beautiful and unspoilt mountainous region between two protected Natural Parks and enjoys the best weather in Europe, with over 300 days of sunshine a year.
Enjoy expert guided cross country mountain biking on superb natural trails in the Serrania de Ronda and Natural Parks of western Andalucia. Each day of your mountain biking holiday you will ride remote mtb trails and enjoy great riding conditions in fabulous mountain scenery. You will explore diverse and unspoilt local landscapes - mountains, river valleys, forests and lakes, even right down to the coast - our British Cycling qualified guides will take you into this largely undiscovered natural landscape and help hone your MTB skills along the way. You will visit traditional white villages and hill-top towns; try out the great local cuisine in village cafes and bars (lunches on riding days included in your holiday price). This is a region just crying out to be explored on a mountain bike.
Our most popular centre-based mtb holidays are at an Intermediate level. Intermediate level mountain biking will require a reasonable amount of fitness on the bikes, along with a competency in bike handling skills on sometimes technical trails. It's not highly technical with jumps or drop offs but the natural terrain means that you should be happy tackling all sorts of different surfaces with some good climbs and descents every day. This type of week is ideal for mountain bikers who enjoy XC riding on natural trails in areas of outstanding natural beauty and want to improve their skills over the duration of a week.
We can also arrange holidays at an easier or more difficult level to suit you - just let us know the sort of riding you would like to do when you enquire about a centre-based mtb holiday.
Our guides are British Cycling qualified and here for route guidance and to help with your riding skills. They are also fully qualified Outdoor First Aiders and carry a first aid kit at all times, as well as a wide range of tools & spares to deal with mechanical issues with your bike.
Each day's riding is minibus supported to optimise mtb route choice and also if anyone runs out of steam and needs a helping hand!
